How Does the Coverage Work?

We understand that the need for quality medical professional liability insurance is key to enabling you to practice as an independent contractor.  Our product – is fast, convenient, flexible, and affordable.

To Obtain Coverage

  • The first step is to enroll, requiring payment of a non-refundable annual fee of $50 to join the Health Alliance Risk Purchasing Group, Inc.

  • Complete the short online client information and underwriting application form. Some information may require additional underwriting review.

  • Order coverage by providing your work location. All work must be done in an accredited health care facility.

  • Check the box for the specific days requested. There is no limit on the number of days for which coverage can be purchased.

  • The system computes your premium based on a daily rate of $85. This price includes two-year extended claims reporting (aka “tail”).

  • Upon completion of the online purchase using your credit card, you will receive a certificate of insurance for each purchased day. Your policy specimen can be downloaded from the site.

  • Your application is good to be enrolled in the Health Alliance Risk Purchasing Group, Inc. for one year. At the end of a year, you will need to re-enroll and pay the $50 non-refundable fee.
